Under Water City

Mumbai was at the mercy of rain gods yesterday with one of the highest rainfalls (around 400mm in 12 hours in central Mumbai).
Some of the moments early(around 9 AM) on this day, when things had just started to get bad..

Ahaaa !! So, now I can say you have started experiencing Mumbai. :P

Ohh you have taken umbrella with you ? Yesterday I just had a long walk in that temporary water park !! In knee deep water. Really wanted to get drenched & I GOT drenched completely as well. Couldn't go to Marine Drive as trains were not running properly. Some other time. :)

Sometimes it is fun... especially on a holiday. See tomorrow... how much havoc it creates.

Happy enjoying Mumbai !!

I didn't write about it but I have also experienced the drenching part of it - on a bike..

And fun?? ya it was temporary half hour fun in the morning.. but after that there was no light.. no net.. no TV..laptop and fone battery died down.. nothing for the whole day... guess you can imagine the halat...
btw Trains here on western line were running despite the rain..

Yeah, electricity wasn't there for the whole day. Kabhi-2 chalta hai... I mean compared to Delhi where it is a ritual for electricity to play hide & seek with us.

Trains were running but not on full stretch and not on time.

Glub glub glub...

I know the feeling. Slightest drizzle and the road in front of my house turns into a pond (the water does not flow anywhere). Sometimes we need to tell the visitors to get boats instead of cars...
